قَالَ: وَنا مَالِكٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ أَيْضًا مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ وَرُوِّينَاهُ مِنْ وَجْهٍ آخَرَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، وَالْحَسَنِ، وَالشَّعْبِيِّ رَحِمَهُمُ اللهُ تَعَالَى وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ.
Imam al-Bayhaqi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Malik (may Allah have mercy on him) narrated to us something similar from Ibn Shihab (may Allah have mercy on him), and it has also been narrated to us through another chain from Sa'id bin al-Musayyib, al-Hasan and al-Sha'bi (may Allah have mercy on them), and Allah knows best.
