وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو زَكَرِيَّا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ نا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ أنا الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، أنا الشَّافِعِيُّ، أنا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ: كَانَتْ عَائِشَةُ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا إِذَا ذُكِرَ مَا الرَّجُلُ يَحْلِفُ أَنْ لَا يَأْتِيَ امْرَأَتَهُ فَيَدَعَهَا خَمْسَةَ أَشْهُرٍ " لَا تَرَى ذَلِكَ شَيْئًا حَتَّى يُوقَفَ " وَتَقُولُ: كَيْفَ قَالَ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: {إِمْسَاكٌ بِمَعْرُوفٍ أَوْ تَسْرِيحٌ بِإِحْسَانٍ}.
Al-Qasim bin Muhammad said: When a man was mentioned in the presence of Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) who had sworn not to go to his wife and had left her for five months, she did not consider it to be anything until he is made to stand, and she would say that Allah's statement is: "Retaining with kindness or releasing with goodness." [Surah al-Baqarah: 229]
