وَقَدْ أَنْبَأَنِي أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أنا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ، نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ زُهَيْرٍ، نا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ هَاشِمٍ، نا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ الدَّسْتُوَائِيِّ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: " الطَّلَاقُ بِالرِّجَالِ وَالْعِدَّةُ بِالنِّسَاءِ ".
Ikrimah narrates from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that divorce is connected with men, while the waiting period is connected with women.
