أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّرِيفُ أَبُو الْفَتْحِ الْعُمَرِيُّ، أنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي شُرَيْحٍ، أنا أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ الْبَغَوِيُّ، نا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْجَعْدِ، أنا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَشْعَثَ بْنِ سَوَّارٍ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ: " الطَّلَاقُ بِالرِّجَالِ، وَالْعِدَّةُ بِالنِّسَاءِ " هَكَذَا وَجَدْتُهُ فِي أَصْلِ كِتَابِهِ وَلَيْسَ بِمَحْفُوظٍ.
Al-Sha'bi (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that divorce is connected with men, while the waiting period is connected with women.
