Bayhaqi 14992 — Reports on the place of the third divorce in the Book

Abu Razin (may Allah have mercy on him) said: A man said to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Divorce is twice" [Surah al-Baqarah: 229], so divorces are two; where is the third? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "'Then either retain her in a fair manner or release her with kindness' [Surah al-Baqarah: 229]."
It has also been narrated from Qatadah from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him), and that is nothing (of no worth).
