Maymun bin Mihran says that Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) divorced his wife while she was menstruating. The narrator says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered him "to take her back until she becomes pure; then, if he wishes, he may divorce her, and if he wishes, he may keep her (with him), before having intercourse with her."
