أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ الْفَقِيهُ وأَبُو مُحَمَّدِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ قَالَا: نا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْقَطَّانُ، نا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، نا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، نا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمُخْتَارِ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ أَبِي أَوْفَى قَالَ: كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي سَفَرٍ فَأَصَابَ النَّاسَ عَطَشٌ فَنَزَلَ مَنْزِلًا فَجَعَلَ أَصْحَابُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُونَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ اشْرَبْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ اشْرَبْ فَقَالَ: " سَاقِي الْقَوْمِ آخِرُهُمْ سَاقِي الْقَوْمِ آخِرُهُمْ ".
Abdullah bin Abi Awfa (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was on a journey, and the people became thirsty, so he (peace and blessings be upon him) halted at a place. The Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) (may Allah be pleased with them) were saying: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), drink! He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The one who gives the people to drink drinks last of all."
