أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أنا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ نا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَا: نا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، نا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ بُكَيْرٍ، عَنْ بُسْرِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ، صَاحِبِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " إِنَّ الْمَلَائِكَةَ لَا تَدْخُلُ بَيْتًا فِيهِ صُورَةٌ " قَالَ بُسْرٌ: ثُمَّ اشْتَكَى زَيْدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ فَعُدْنَاهُ فَإِذَا عَلَى بَابِهِ سِتْرٌ فِيهِ صُورَةٌ، فَقُلْتُ لِعُبَيْدِ اللهِ الْخَوْلَانِيِّ رَبِيبِ مَيْمُونَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَلَمْ يُخْبِرْنَا زَيْدٌ عَنِ الصُّورَةِ الْيَوْمَ الْأَوَّلَ؟ قَالَ عُبَيْدُ اللهِ: أَلَمْ تَسْمَعْهُ حِينَ قَالَ: إِلَّا رَقْمٌ فِي ثَوْبٍ، رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ، وَمُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ، عَنْ قُتَيْبَةَ. قَالَ الْبُخَارِيُّ: وَقَالَ ابْنُ وَهْبٍ.
Sayyiduna Abu Talhah (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The angels do not enter a house in which there is a picture." Busr said: Then Zayd bin Khalid (may Allah be pleased with him) fell ill and we visited him, and on the curtain at the door of his house there were pictures. I said to Ubaydullah al-Khawlani (may Allah have mercy on him), who had been raised by Sayyidah Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her): "Did Zayd (may Allah be pleased with him) not tell us about pictures the other day?" Ubaydullah (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "Did you not hear him when he said: 'Except for a marking on a cloth'?"
