Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Jibril came to me and said: 'I did not come last night because at the door of the house there was the image of a man, and on the curtain there were images, and there was a puppy in the house. So order that the heads of the images in the house be cut off, order that the curtain be cut up and made into cushions that are trodden upon, and order that the puppy be taken out of the house.'" So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) did so. That dog or puppy belonged to Hasan and Husayn (may Allah be pleased with them both), so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered that it be taken out.
