اسْتِدْلَالًا بِمَا أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْفَقِيهُ، أنبأ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زِيَادٍ، ثنا ابْنُ أَبِي أُوَيْسٍ، ثنا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا، أَنَّهَا أَخْبَرَتْهُ أَنَّهَا اشْتَرَتْ نُمْرُقَةً فِيهَا تَصَاوِيرُ، فَلَمَّا رَآهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَامَ عَلَى الْبَابِ فَلَمْ يَدْخُلْ فَعَرَفْتُ فِي وَجْهِهِ الْكَرَاهِيَةَ فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَتُوبُ إِلَى اللهِ وَإِلَى رَسُولِهِ مَاذَا أَذْنَبْتُ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: مَا بَالُ هَذِهِ النُّمْرُقَةِ؟ فَقُلْتُ: اشْتَرَيْتُهَا لَكَ لِتَقْعُدَ عَلَيْهَا وَتَوَسَّدَهَا، فَقَالَ: " إِنَّ أَصْحَابَ هَذِهِ الصُّوَرِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ يُعَذَّبُونَ يُقَالُ لَهُمْ أَحْيُوا مَا خَلَقْتُمْ "، وَقَالَ: " إِنَّ الْبَيْتَ الَّذِي فِيهِ الصُّوَرُ لَا تَدْخُلُهُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ ".
Al-Qasim bin Muhammad narrates from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she bought a cushion with pictures on it. When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saw it, he stood at the door of the house and did not enter. Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) perceived displeasure in the face of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). I said: "I turn in repentance to Allah and His Messenger; what sin have I committed?" The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "What is this cushion?" She said: "I bought it for you, so that you may sit on it and recline on it." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The makers of these pictures will be punished on the Day of Resurrection, and it will be said to them: Bring to life what you made; put a soul into what you created." And he said: "Angels do not enter a house in which there are pictures."
