وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، أنبأ عَلِيُّ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْحَافِظُ، أنبأ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الْمُطِيقِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ جَحْدَرٌ ثنا بَقِيَّةُ، عَنْ مُبَشِّرِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ، ح وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أنبأ أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْحَافِظُ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ الْوَاسِطِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُصَفَّى، ثنا بَقِيَّةُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ، ثنا مُبَشِّرٌ، عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ بْنِ أَرْطَاةَ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ، وَعَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " لَا صَدَاقَ دُونَ عَشَرَةِ دَرَاهِمَ " قَالَ أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الْحَافِظُ: مُبَشِّرُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ مَتْرُوكُ الْحَدِيثِ وَهَذَا مُنْكَرٌ لَمْ يُتَابَعْ عَلَيْهِ قَالَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُبَشِّرِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ مَتْرُوكُ الْحَدِيثِ أَحَادِيثُهُ لَا يُتَابَعُ عَلَيْهَا قَالَ الشَّيْخُ رَحِمَهُ اللهُ: وَالْحَجَّاجُ بْنُ أَرْطَأَةَ لَا يُحْتَجُّ بِهِ وَلَمْ يَأْتِ بِهِ عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ غَيْرُ مُبَشِّرِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ الْحَلَبِيِّ وَقَدْ أَجْمَعُوا عَلَى تَرْكِهِ، وَكَانَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ رَحِمَهُ اللهُ يَرْمِيهِ بِوَضْعِ الْحَدِيثِ.
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There should be no dowry less than ten dirhams."
Abu Ali al-Hafiz said: Mubashshir bin Ubayd is matruk al-hadith (abandoned), and this is munkar (denounced); no one corroborated him in it. Ali (al-Daraqutni) said: Mubashshir bin Ubayd is matruk al-hadith; his hadiths are not corroborated. The Shaykh (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Al-Hajjaj bin Artah is not used as evidence, and no one brought it from al-Hajjaj except Mubashshir bin Ubayd al-Halabi, whom they unanimously abandoned; and Ahmad bin Hanbal (may Allah have mercy on him) used to accuse him of fabricating hadith.
