وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ، وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ قَالَا: ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ، ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ ⦗٣٩١⦘ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَفَّانَ، ثنا يَحْيَى، عَنْ حَفْصِ بْنِ غِيَاثٍ، وَأَبِي مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنْ حَجَّاجِ بْنِ أَرْطَاةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ الطَّائِفِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْبَيْلَمَانِيِّ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلَهُ هَذَا مُنْقَطِعٌ وَقَدْ قِيلَ: عَنْ حَجَّاجِ بْنِ أَرْطَاةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْبَيْلَمَانِيِّ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَلَيْسَ بِمَحْفُوظٍ..
Abd al-Rahman bin al-Baylamani also narrated the like of it from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) through another chain.
This is munqati' (broken). It has also been said: from Hajjaj bin Artah, from Abd al-Malik, from Abd al-Rahman bin al-Baylamani, from Sayyiduna Umar bin al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him), from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him); but that is not mahfuz (preserved).
