Bayhaqi 14011 — The slave marrying a free woman in addition to a slave
وَرَوَى جَابِرٌ الْجُعْفِيُّ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ: " لَا يَنْكِحُ الْأَمَةَ عَلَى الْحُرَّةِ، إِلَّا الْمَمْلُوكُ "، أَنْبَأَنِيهِ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ إِجَازَةً، عَنْ أَبِي الْوَلِيدِ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ زُهَيْرٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ هَاشِمٍ، ثنا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، فَذَكَرَهُ.
Masruq narrates from Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that a slave woman should not be married while there is a free wife, except that a slave (man) may do so. Abu Abdullah conveyed it by ijazah (licence) from Abu al-Walid.
