أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ بَكْرُ بْنُ سَهْلِ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْقُرَشِيُّ الدِّمْيَاطِيُّ بِدِمْيَاطَ، ثنا شُعَيْبُ بْنُ يَحْيَى التُّجِيبِيُّ، عَنْ نَافِعِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ عُمَرَ مَوْلَى غُفْرَةَ، أَنَّهُ حَدَّثَهُ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ السَّائِبِ، مِنْ بَنِي الْمُطَّلِبِ، أَنَّ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ عَفَّانَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ نَكَحَ ابْنَةَ الْفُرَافِصَةِ الْكَلْبِيَّةَ وَهِيَ نَصْرَانِيَّةٌ عَلَى نِسَائِهِ، ثُمَّ أَسْلَمَتْ عَلَى يَدَيْهِ.
Abdullah bin al-Sa'ib, of Banu al-Muttalib, narrates that Sayyiduna Uthman bin Affan (may Allah be pleased with him) married the daughter of al-Furafisah al-Kalbiyyah, who was a Christian, in addition to his (other) wives; then she accepted Islam at his hands.
