أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَبْدَانَ، أنبأ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ الْأَهْوَازِيُّ، ثنا سَهْلُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، ثنا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، عَنْ حَجَّاجٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " لَا نِكَاحَ إِلَّا بِوَلِيٍّ ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There is no marriage without a guardian."
