وَبِإِسْنَادِهِ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ مُوسَى، عَنْ مَكْحُولٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " نَفَّلَ فِي مَبْدَئِهِ الرُّبُعَ، فَلَمَّا قَفَلَ نَفَّلَ الثُّلُثَ ".
It is narrated from Makhul (may Allah have mercy on him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) gave a quarter of the spoils at the beginning, and when he returned he gave a third.
