أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، أنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، أَنَّ زَيْدَ بْنَ ثَابِتٍ " لَمْ يَكُنْ يَجْعَلُ لِلْجَدَّةِ مَعَ ابْنِهَا مِيرَاثًا ".
It is reported from Sa'id bin al-Musayyab (may Allah have mercy on him) that Zayd bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) would not assign a share to the grandmother when her son, that is, the father of the deceased, was present.
