Bayhaqi 12232 — A Muslim does not inherit from a disbeliever

وَبِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ قَالَ: ثنا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: " لَا نَرِثُ أَهْلَ الْمِلَلِ، وَلَا يَرِثُونَا ".
Sa'id bin al-Musayyab (may Allah have mercy on him) said that Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: We do not inherit from the people of other religions, nor do they inherit from us.
