Bayhaqi 12033 — Thanking for a favour
وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ فُورَكٍ، أنبأ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ، ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ طَلْحَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ شَرِيكٍ الْعَامِرِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَدِيٍّ الْكِنْدِيِّ، عَنِ الْأَشْعَثِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ قَالَ: قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " أَشْكَرُ النَّاسِ لِلَّهِ أَشْكَرُهُمْ لِلنَّاسِ ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ash'ath bin Qays (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The most grateful of people to Allah is the one who is most thankful to people."
