أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ، وَأَبُو زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، قَالَا: ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ هُوَ الْأَصَمُّ، أنبأ الرَّبِيعُ، أنبأ الشَّافِعِيُّ، أنبأ سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ الْأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ قَالَ: كُنْتُ عِنْدَ ابْنِ عُمَرَ فَجَاءَهُ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْبَادِيَةِ فَقَالَ: إِنِّي وَهَبْتُ لِابْنِي نَاقَةً حَيَاتَهُ، وَإِنَّهَا تَنَاتَجَتْ إِبِلًا، فَقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ: " هِيَ لَهُ حَيَاتَهُ وَمَوْتَهُ " فَقَالَ: إِنِّي تَصَدَّقْتُ عَلَيْهِ بِهَا، فَقَالَ: " ذَاكَ أَبْعَدُ لَكَ مِنْهَا ".
Habib bin Abi Thabit (may Allah have mercy on him) says: I was with Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) when a man from the desert came and said: I gave my son a she-camel for his lifetime, and she has given birth to camels. Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: It is his in his life and after his death. He said: I gave it to him as charity. Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: Then that puts it even further from you.
