وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ، ثنا أَبُو الْفَضْلِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، أنبأ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، وَنَصَرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجَهْضَمِيُّ، قَالَا: ثنا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو، سَمِعَ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنَ يَسَارٍ، أَنَّ طَارِقًا كَانَ أَمِيرًا بِالْمَدِينَةِ " قَضَى بِالْعُمْرَى لِلْوَارِثِ عَنْ قَوْلِ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ.
Amr (may Allah have mercy on him) heard Sulayman bin Yasar (may Allah have mercy on him) say that Tariq was the governor of Madinah, and he ruled concerning the lifelong grant ('umra) in favour of the heir, according to the statement of Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him), which he narrated from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
