أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَلِيُّ بْنُ عِيسَى الْوَرَّاقُ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، ثنا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ: كُنَّا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي سَفَرٍ، وَكُنْتُ عَلَى بَكْرٍ صَعْبٍ لِعُمَرَ، وَكَانَ يَغْلِبُنِي فَيَتَقَدَّمُ أَمَامَ الْقَوْمِ، فَيُؤَخِّرُهُ عُمَرُ فَيَرُدُّهُ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِعُمَرَ: " بِعْنِيهِ "، فَقَالَ: هُوَ لَكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، قَالَ: " بِعْنِيهِ "، فَبَاعَهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " هُوَ لَكَ يَا عَبْدَ اللهِ، فَاصْنَعْ بِهِ مَا شِئْتَ " رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ.
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: We were with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) on a journey, and I was riding a young, unruly camel belonging to Umar (may Allah be pleased with him). It would overpower me and go ahead of all the people, and Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) would bring it back behind. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him): "Sell it to me." Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "O Messenger of Allah, it is yours." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Sell it to me." So Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) sold it to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Abdullah, it is yours; do with it whatever you wish."
