It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) called for water, and a cup with water in it was brought (to him). The narrator says: "I think it was a glass cup." He (peace and blessings be upon him) placed his fingers in it, and the people began performing ablution one after another. I estimated them to be between seventy (70) and eighty (80). Then I began looking at the water, and it was gushing forth from between his (peace and blessings be upon him) fingers.
(b) Imam Ibn Khuzaymah (may Allah have mercy on him) says that several narrators reported it from Hammad bin Zayd with the word "rahrah" (wide and shallow) in place of "zujaj" (glass). The Shaykh (may Allah have mercy on him) says: It is as he said.
