It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to the houses of the Ansar, and there were other houses besides them which he did not come to. This was hard on them, and they said: O Messenger of Allah! You go to the houses of so-and-so, and you do not come to our houses. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There are dogs in your houses." The narrator says that in their houses there was a cat. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The cat is also a beast of prey."
