It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "None of you should say, 'I made the crop grow,' but rather he should say, 'I sowed it.'" Then Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Have you not heard the saying of Allah: "Have you considered what you sow? Is it you who make it grow, or are We the ones who make it grow?" [Surah al-Waqi'ah: 63-64]
