It is narrated from Sayyiduna Samurah bin Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him) that one day the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) led the prayer, and when he turned towards (the people) he asked: "Is anyone from Banu so-and-so here?" The people remained silent, and whenever he (peace and blessings be upon him) began addressing them with something, they would remain silent. He (peace and blessings be upon him) asked again: "Is anyone from Banu so-and-so here?" A man said: This is so-and-so. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Your companion has been held back at the gate of Paradise because of a debt." A man said: His debt is upon me. Then he paid it off.
