Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away while his coat of mail was pledged with a Jew; he (peace and blessings be upon him) had bought thirty sa' of barley for his family.
