Bayhaqi 11101 — Those who permitted salam in animals by a known age

قَالَ: وَحَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ ابْنَ شِهَابٍ عَنْ بَيْعِ الْحَيَوَانِ اثْنَيْنِ بِوَاحِدٍ إِلَى أَجَلٍ فَقَالَ: " لَا بَأْسَ بِذَلِكَ ".
Imam Malik (may Allah have mercy on him) asked Imam al-Zuhri (may Allah have mercy on him): "May two animals be bought for one on deferred terms (to a fixed time)?" He said: "There is no harm in that."
