Bayhaqi 10919 — The prohibition of going out to meet incoming goods

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade "that the trade caravans should be met (outside the town)." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If someone goes out to meet them, the owner of the goods has the option after coming to the market."
