Bayhaqi 10916 — The prohibition of going out to meet incoming goods

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not go out to meet the trade caravans outside the town."
Imam al-Shafi'i (may Allah have mercy on him) says: Whoever goes out of the town and buys goods, the owner of the goods has the option after he reaches the market; we adopt this if it is established. This is evidence that his sale is valid, but the owner of the goods also has the option.
