Bayhaqi 10719 — The ruling on one who buys an animal left unmilked

أَخْبَرَنَاهُ أَبُو زَكَرِيَّا، ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ، أنا الرَّبِيعُ، أنا الشَّافِعِيُّ، أنا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ فَذَكَرَهُ بِمَعْنَاهُ وَقَالَ: " رَدَّهَا وَصَاعًا مِنْ تَمْرٍ لَا سَمْرَاءَ " قَالَ الشَّيْخُ: وَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ " إِنَاءً مِنْ طَعَامٍ ".
Ayyub (may Allah have mercy on him) also narrates the same meaning: "If he returns it, he should give a sa' of dates as well, not wheat." And some narrated from Ibn Sirin (may Allah have mercy on him): "He should give a vessel of grain."
