حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ الْعَلَوِيُّ، أنا أَبُو حَامِدٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الذُّهْلِيُّ، وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ السُّلَمِيُّ، قَالَا: ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، ح وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ بِشْرَانَ، أنا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ الْمِصْرِيُّ، ثنا ابْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، حَدَّثَنَا الْفِرْيَابِيُّ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَجْلَانَ، وَعَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ أَبِي سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ " أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعَثَ عَتَّابَ بْنَ أَسِيدٍ فَنَهَاهُ عَنْ شَرْطَيْنِ فِي بَيْعٍ، وَعَنْ سَلَفٍ وَبَيْعٍ، وَعَنْ بَيْعِ مَا لَيْسَ عِنْدَكَ، وَعَنْ رِبْحِ مَا لَمْ تَضْمَنْ ".
Amr bin Shu'ayb narrates from his father, from his grandfather (Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr, may Allah be pleased with them both), that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent Sayyiduna Attab bin Asid (may Allah be pleased with him) and forbade him "two conditions in one sale, a loan and a sale, selling what you do not have, and profiting from something for whose loss responsibility has not been taken."
