Sunan ad-Daraqutni 814 — Discussion on Menstruation
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الدَّقَّاقُ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ، نا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ ، ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ حَسَّانَ ، وَسَعِيدٌ ، عَنِ الْجَلْدِ بْنِ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ قُرَّةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : " الْحَائِضُ تَنْتَظِرُ ثَلاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ أَوْ أَرْبَعَةً أَوْ خَمْسَةً إِلَى عَشَرَةِ أَيَّامٍ ، فَإِذَا جَاوَزَتْ عَشَرَةَ أَيَّامٍ فَهِيَ مُسْتَحَاضَةٌ وَتَغْتَسِلُ وَتُصَلِّي " .
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: "A menstruating woman will wait for three days, four, five days up to ten days. If the bleeding exceeds ten days, then she will be considered mustahadah (having irregular bleeding), and she should perform ghusl and start offering prayers."
