بَابُ التَّيَمُّمِ
Chapter on tayammum (dry ablution)
Sunan ad-Daraqutni 700 — on tayammum (dry ablution)
حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ ، وَعُمَرُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالا : نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، نا غُنْدَرٌ ، نا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ ، عَنْ ذَرٍّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبْزَى ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَمَّارٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِنَّمَا كَانَ يَكْفِيكَ " ، وَضَرَبَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِيَدِهِ الأَرْضَ ثُمَّ نَفَخَ فِيهَا وَمَسَحَ بِهَا وَجْهَهُ وَكَفَّيْهِ .
Sayyiduna Ammar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "This is sufficient for you." Then the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) struck his blessed hand on the earth, then blew on it, and with it wiped his face and both arms.
حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، نا يُوسُفُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، نا جَرِيرٌ . ح وَحَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ ، نا ابْنُ كَرَامَةَ ، نا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ . ح وَحَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ ، نا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ، ثنا يَعْلَى بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبْزَى ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَمَّارٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِهَذَا.
The same narration is also transmitted with another chain from Sayyiduna Ammar (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him).
