حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ فَيْرُوزَ ، نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْحَسَّانِيُّ ، نَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، نَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ : " مَا ضَرَبَ بِهِ الْبَحْرُ ، أَوْ جَزَرَ عَنْهُ ، أَوْ صِيدَ فِيهِ ، فَكُلْ وَمَا مَاتَ فِيهِ ، ثُمَّ طَفَا فَلا تَأْكُلْ " ،.
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Eat whatever the sea throws out, or whatever it leaves behind as it recedes, or whatever is hunted from it. But do not eat what dies in it and then floats on the water.
