[ بَابُ إِحْيَاءِ الْمَوَاتِ
Chapter on reviving dead land
Sunan ad-Daraqutni 4513 — on reviving dead land
نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ ، نَا الرَّمَادِيُّ ، نَا نُعَيْمُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ ، نَا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ ، عَنْ حَجَّاجٍ الصَّوَّافِ ، حَدَّثَنِي حُمَيْدُ بْنُ هِلالٍ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ ، قَالَ : " قَضَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّ مَنْ طَلَبَ عِنْدَ أَخِيهِ طَلْبَةً بِغَيْرِ شُهَدَاءَ ، فَالْمَطْلُوبُ أَوْلَى بِالْيَمِينِ " .
Sayyiduna Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that whoever takes something from his brother without proof, then the person against whom the claim is made will be required to take an oath.
