Sunan ad-Daraqutni 4390 — on breastfeeding
نَا نَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدِ بْنُ صَاعِدٍ ، نَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، نَا مُعْتَمِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنْ عِيسَى بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ ، فُرِغَ مِنْ أَرْبَعَةٍ : الْخَلْقِ وَالْخُلُقِ ، وَالرِّزْقِ ، وَالأَجَلِ ، فَلَيْسَ أَحَدٌ اكْتَسَبَ مِنْ أَحَدٍ ، وَالصَّدَقَةُ جَائِزَةٌ قُبِضَتْ أَوْ لَمْ تُقْبَضْ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Allah Almighty has already decreed four things: creation, character and habits, sustenance, and lifespan, so no person can acquire any of these from another. Giving charity is permissible, whether it has been taken into possession or not."
