Sunan ad-Daraqutni 4337 — on vows
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ ، نَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ ، نَا حَجَّاجٌ ، نَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ مُوسَى ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ فِي هَذَا الْمَسْجِدِ ، يَقُولُ : " ثَلاثَةُ أَشْيَاءَ فِيهِنَّ مُدٌّ : مُدٌّ فِي كَفَّارَةِ الْيَمِينِ ، وَفِي كَفَّارَةِ الظِّهَارِ ، وَفِدْيَةُ طَعَامُ مِسْكِينٍ " .
Ata reports: I heard Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) saying in a mosque: “In three things, one ‘mudd’ will be given: in the expiation for breaking an oath, in the expiation for zihar, and in the fidya of feeding a poor person.”
