Sunan ad-Daraqutni 4138 — Inheritance of grandmothers
نَا نَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ، نَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْقَوَارِيرِيُّ ، نَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ ، نَا عُمَرُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ ، " أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُوَرِّثُ ثَلاثَ جَدَّاتٍ ، ثِنْتَيْنِ مِنْ قِبَلِ الأُمِّ ، وَوَاحِدَةً مِنْ قِبَلِ الأَبِ " ، كَذَا قَالَ.
It is narrated about Sayyiduna Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) that he considered three grandmothers as heirs, two of whom were from the mother's side and one from the father's side.
