Sunan ad-Daraqutni 4021 — Beginning of the Book of Divorce and Others
نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ ، نَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ الْحَدَّادُ ، نَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أُمَيَّةَ ، نَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ رَاشِدٍ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ الطَّوِيلِ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ مُعَاذَ بْنَ جَبَلٍ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يَا مُعَاذُ ، مَنْ طَلَّقَ لِلْبِدْعَةِ أَلْزَمْنَاهُ بِدْعَتَهُ " .
Sayyiduna Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Mu'adh! Whoever divorces his wife with one, two, or three divorces in an innovated (bid'ah) manner, We will make his innovation binding upon him."
