Sunan ad-Daraqutni 3718 — Discussion on Marriage
نَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْجُرْجَانِيُّ مِنْ أَصْلِهِ ، نَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ، نَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، نَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " وَلِيُّ عُقْدَةِ النِّكَاحِ هُوَ الزَّوْجُ " .
Amr bin Shu'aib narrates from his father, from his grandfather: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "The guardian referred to in the marriage contract is the husband."
