Sunan ad-Daraqutni 3177 — Book of Hudud, Blood Money, and Others
حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْبَزَّارُ ، نَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ بُدَيْلٍ ، نَا وَكِيعٌ ، نَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، عَنْ عَامِرٍ ، عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " كُلُّ شَيْءٍ خَطَأٌ إِلا السَّيْفَ ، وَلِكُلِّ خَطَأٍ أَرْشٌ " ، كَذَا قَالَ : عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، عَنْ عَامِرٍ ، وَالَّذِي قَبْلَهُ أَصَحُّ.
Sayyiduna Nu'man bin Bashir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): "Every killing done by means other than the sword will be considered accidental killing, and in accidental killing, payment of blood money (diyah) will be obligatory."
