بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى : { وَعَلَى الَّذِينَ يُطِيقُونَهُ فِدْيَةٌ }

Sunan ad-Daraqutni 2393 — on what is mentioned in the verse: "And
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو صَالِحٍ الأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ، ثنا أَبُو مَسْعُودٍ ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ ، أَنَّ أَبَا حَمْزَةَ حَدَّثَهُمْ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ مُوسَى ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ أَدْرَكَهُ الْكِبْرُ فَلَمْ يَسْتَطِعْ أَنْ يَصُومَ رَمَضَانَ فَعَلَيْهِ لِكُلِّ يَوْمٍ مَدٌّ مِنْ قَمْحٍ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Whoever becomes old and is not able to fast, it is obligatory upon him to give one mudd of wheat for each day in compensation."
