Sunan ad-Daraqutni 2139 — on zakat al-fitr
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَفَّانَ ، ثنا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَوْنٍ ، ثنا ابْنُ أَبِي لَيْلَى ، ذَكَرَهُ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَتَوَضَّأُ بِمُدٍّ رَطْلَيْنِ ، وَيَغْتَسِلُ بِصَاعٍ ثَمَانِيَةِ أَرْطَالٍ " .
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would perform ablution with one mudd, that is, two ratl (of water), and would perform ghusl with one sa’, that is, eight ratl of water.
