Sunan ad-Daraqutni 1891 — on the obligation of zakat after a full year
حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ الْخَضِرِ الْمُعَدَّلُ بِمَكَّةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ يُونُسَ ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الأَسَدِيُّ ، ثنا حَسَّانُ بْنُ سِيَاهٍ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لَيْسَ فِي مَالٍ زَكَاةٌ ، حَتَّى يَحُولَ عَلَيْهِ الْحَوْلُ " .
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Zakat is not obligatory on wealth until a year has passed over it."
