بَابُ التَّسْلِيمِ فِي الْجِنَازَةِ وَاحِدًا وَالتَّكْبِيرِ أَرْبَعًا وَخَمْسًا وَقِرَاءَةَ الْفَاتِحَةِ
Chapter on saying salam once in the funeral prayer, saying takbir four or five times, and reciting Al-Fatiha
Sunan ad-Daraqutni 1817 — on saying salam once in the funeral prayer
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ الْبُهْلُولِ ، ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْعَنْقَرِيُّ ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، ثنا حَفْصُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَنْبَسِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَّى عَلَى جِنَازَةٍ فَكَبَّرَ عَلَيْهَا أَرْبَعًا ، وَسَلَّمَ تَسْلِيمَةً وَاحِدَةً " .
Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) offered a funeral prayer, in which he pronounced four takbirs and gave one salam.
