Sunan ad-Daraqutni 1720 — The Book of the Two Eids
وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عِيسَى ، ثنا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، ثنا خَالِدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُكَبِّرُ فِي الْعِيدَيْنِ اثْنَتَيْ عَشْرَةَ تَكْبِيرَةً سِوَى تَكْبِيرَةِ الاسْتِفْتَاحِ ، يَقْرَأُ بِ ق وَالْقُرْآنِ الْمَجِيدِ ، وَ اقْتَرَبَتِ السَّاعَةُ " .
Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to say twelve additional takbirs in the Eid prayers apart from the initial takbir, and he (peace be upon him) used to recite Surah Qaf and Surah Iqtarabat in them.
