حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَاصِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ: "إِنَّ لِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ سَنَامًا، وَإِنَّ سَنَامَ الْقُرْآنِ سُورَةُ الْبَقَرَةِ، وَإِنَّ لِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ لُبَابًا، وَإِنَّ لُبَابَ الْقُرْآنِ الْمُفَصَّلُ""قَالَ أَبُو مُحَمَّد: اللُّبَابُ: الْخَالِصُ.
Narrated to us by Amr ibn Asim, narrated to us by Hammad ibn Salamah, from Asim, from Abu al-Ahwas, from Abdullah, that he said: "Indeed, everything has a hump, and the hump of the Qur'an is Surah al-Baqarah, and indeed, everything has a core, and the core of the Qur'an is al-Mufassal." Abu Muhammad said: The core (al-lubab) means the purest part.
