Chapter on inheritance of distant relatives
Sunan ad-Darimi 3086 — on inheritance of distant relatives
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ، عَنْ عُبَيْدَةَ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ: أَنَّ عُمَرَ، وَعَبْدَ اللَّهِ رَأَيَا أَنْ يُوَرِّثَا خَالًا".
Ibrahim, may Allah have mercy on him, said: The opinion of Sayyiduna Umar and Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud, may Allah be pleased with them both, was that the maternal uncle would be the heir.
