It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw a girl whose face was reddish-black, and he said: "Perform ruqyah for her, she has been afflicted by the evil eye."

Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) entered and heard the sound of a child crying and asked: "What has happened to this child, why is he crying? Why have you not performed the ruqyah (spiritual cure) for the evil eye on him?"

Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would order the one who cast the evil eye to perform ablution, and would order the person afflicted by the evil eye to bathe with that water.

- " العين حق ولو كان شيء سابق القدر سبقته العين، وإذا استغسلتم فاغسلوا ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The evil eye is real. If anything could precede destiny, it would be the evil eye. When you are asked to perform ablution (as a remedy for the evil eye), then perform ablution."
